Langfang City is a major regional hub of international trade and information exchange with a planned high-speed rail system and large-scale trade, retail, and residential and commercial development.
The Langfang Convention Centre is situated along the high-speed corridor on the edge of the existing Langfang city centre.
The project envisioned large-scale multi-use trade and exhibition spaces designed to host the annual APEC international trade fair and incorporated a hotel, office complex, and cinema and entertainment precinct all interconnected with high quality public domain features.
Design to be delivered in a very short time frame the masterplan was staged in three phases to incorporate the temporary renovation of existing smaller facilities through to the final vision for the site.
The masterplan also incorporated an adjacent golf course and wetland system that grows into the site to create smaller scale landscape spaces for visitors to enjoy.
